MEET THE TRAINER: ANDI PRAST
The first time we spoke on the phone her energy leaped right through the handset! Her background and her fitness goals were so aligned with ours, we knew we had to meet with her. When she walked through the doors, she did not disappoint - full of energy, brimming with creative class ideas and always willing to learn. We created the SMASH format just for her and she always gets the most AND the best out of her clients!

Where were you born? Wallingford, Connecticut
Tell us about your fitness background.
I swam before I could walk and began dancing at the age of one and was referred to as a “Diaper Darling.” I was a dancer for 18 years and would do summer intensive training camps with the Radio City Rockettes while still in high school. I even got to dance on the Radio City stage, which was magical. My true fitness “career” started with kickboxing. I found an ad on Craigslist about being trained as a kickboxing instructor and dove right in and LOVED it. I was thrilled to construct a HIIT class that incorporated kickboxing for HIIT BOX. The rest has been history in the making.
What are the go-to classes you do on your own?
On my own, I love boxing classes, HIIT classes and am a Yogi at heart. Whether it’s hot yoga or a Vinyasa style.
What's your nickname?
My real name is Andrianna... Andi is my nickname.
What is the next state you want to live in? Hawaii or maybe California. I’m a mermaid naturally and would love to live by the beach.
Tell us your dream job. My dream job is winning an EGOT - Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony! I moved to New York City to perform and make it big. Making it big for me currently has become helping and motivating others positively.
What would your Superhero name be? Nasty Prasty. Prast is my last name and I think they go together hilariously.
Cookies, cake or pie? Ice cream cake for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years? Well in 10 years I will have constructed my own fitness method and traveled around the world making a positive impact/change. I will have a family and multiple properties: obviously New York because it will always be home, a beach house because that’s my happy place, and one in the mountains for Jake (my BF) to snowboard whenever he wants. You never know what the universe has planned and each day is a gift and a new day to SMASH your goals.
You teach SMASH and LEVEL 10 on Fridays, two of the most unique formats on the schedule. What's a good tip for someone who wants to take your class? A good tip for someone that wants to take my class is come ready to work. Expect to sweat and expect to have fun while doing so. I will always push you to be your best and will safely keep challenging you to push harder. We all have an idea about our fitness limits and I am here to prove to you there is NO LIMIT!
